Pilot Episode: What are we doing online?

23/07/2025

Welcome to Humans Online

What are we really doing on the internet — and what is it doing to us?

On July 20, 2025, I launched the pilot episode of Humans Online, a show about our digital behaviour, online rituals, and everything strange and very human that happens when we enter the internet.

This isn't a tech review channel. It's not about trends or tactics.
It's about us. The users. The scrollers. The posters. The lurkers.
The humans — online.

❓What We're Trying to Figure Out

The internet is no longer something we "go on." It's where we live, work, grieve, perform, hide, and express ourselves. And yet, we rarely stop to ask:

  • Why do we behave the way we do online?

  • What makes a meme funny or a post feel performative?

  • When does a digital habit become a digital ritual?

  • And why does it sometimes feel like the internet is watching us back?

Humans Online is here to explore these questions — and many more — through the lens of psychology, philosophy, digital sociology, and storytelling.

🗓️ Channel Schedule

We publish two videos per month:

  • 🧵 One short-to-mid form explainers, essays, or commentary videos

  • 🔍 One deeper feature-style investigation or platform study

New videos on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.

We also post community polls, YouTube Shorts, and behind-the-scenes content throughout the month — because this isn't just a show, it's a shared space for reflecting on the weirdness of being human in a weird world.

🎙️ What's In the Pilot Episode?

The pilot is a soft introduction — a short, honest, slightly surreal conversation between me and... well, me.
Or maybe us.
The part of us that's always scrolling. The part that never logs off.

It sets the tone for what's coming:
Curious questions. Strange behaviour. Digital habits we've normalised. And a voice that invites you to pause and think, if only for a moment.
